History of Nerang
Nerang & Mudgeeraba are the older outer suburbs of the Gold Coast.
Both areas are now very popular as they are a little further out of the traffic and rat race yet very accessible at the same time.1 to 2 mins from the Pacific Highway which runs North to South from NSW to the North Coast of Brisbane.
Just out of Nerang and Mudgeeraba is Mt Tamborine, well known for its quaint Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Wineries, Antiques and Bric a Brac shops.
The climate is usually 5 to 10 degrees cooler in the Summer. Lamington National Park is about a 40 Minute drive away. Activities include a treetop forest walk and hand feeding the local birdlife. Lorikeets etc. Great spot for BBQs and picnics and bush walks.
The wreckage of the Stinson aircraft is in the park bushwalking area. Fleays Fauna Park is great for children and 15 mins down the road at Currumbin.
Steve Irwins Australia Zoo is located 1 hour past Brisbane on the way to Maroochydore & Noosa.
Maroochydore is another great tourist area with an Underwater Theme Park & Noosa is well known for great restaurants and beaches.
