Try one of the many walking tracks which wind their way down the foreshore of Scarborough and its neighbouring seaside suburbs. Walk up to the peninsula cliffs and enjoy an unforgettable view of Moreton Bay and Moreton Island. You can take a day trip to Moreton Island on one of the local ferries. The southern end of Queens South Beach is the ideal spot for keen anglers.

History of Scarborough
The area of Redcliffe (including Scarborough) was the first European settlement in Queensland, visited by Matthew Flinders in 1799. The name came from the ?red cliffs? that were visible at Moreton Bay. A crew of sailors and 29 convicts began their colony at Redcliffe in September 1824.
