Things to do in Kinross
Follow the sea breeze over to Burns Beach; just a few minutes drive from Kinross. You can swim, read in the sun, or have a cafe meal overlooking the coast. There are lots of charming parks to visit, including Stonehaven Park and McNaughton Park. Yarragonga Regional Park is a highlight in the area. It is a great spot for bushwalking, picnics, bird watching or barbeques. Hillarys Boat Harbour is a pleasant retreat if you want to relax at a bar or restaurant with ocean views.Within 20km drive, the Swan Valley is a region famous for its fabulous wineries and gourmet food. The CBD of Perth is only a short drive away if you are looking for a busier city atmosphere.
History of Kinross
The area around Joondalup became one of the 5 central precincts of Perth during the 1960s. Kinross was mainly developed in the early 1990s, with most of its population consisting of young families and migrants from the UK and South Africa. The name of the suburb derives from Scottish origins.

There are two main shopping precincts in Kinross. The newest complex is located on the corner of Selkirk Drive and Connolly Drive.
