History of Yorkeys Knob
Yorkey's Knob was named after a beech de mer fisherman (originally from York) called 'Yorkey' who lived on the rocky hill ('knob') between Half Moon Beach and Yorkeys Knob beach. He lived here in the 1880's, and led a very colourful life.

Just a short stroll from the apartment, you have restaurants, IGA supermarket, bottle shop, post office, hairdressers/beauty salons, licensed clubs, video shop. An 18 hole GOLF COURSE, Half Moon Bay, is just two par fives from our apartments. They offer discounted green fees for our guests ($30 for 18 holes)and have an excellent restaurant

Yorkeys Knob Boat and Yachting Club serve meals and drinks on the deck overlooking Half Moon Bay, the marina and Double Island. They have pokies, keno, pool tables and offer courtesy bus service. Krokodillos have an excellent menu and delicious food and offer home delivery. Caf Buzzaroma
are open for breakfast and lunch and offer a large array of health foods. Jais restaurant is on the beachfront for relaxing al fresco dining. Star Apple Restaurant at Half Moon Bay Golf Course are open every night except Monday and Tuesday excellent dining excellent menu!
