The Daylight Loft is where New York meets St Kilda. Perched on the top floor of a landmark 1930s warehouse that once housed a hat factory is a vast 2200sq ft loft space.

Oregon timber roof trusses span a soaring 8m high ceiling. Natural daylight floods in through a north facing 5x5m skylight and six large windows.

This space has luxury furnishings against a background of white walls and warm Baltic pine floors. Cook or make a coffee in the designer gloss white and stainless steel kitchen with European appliances and professional 90cm ILVE cook top and oven. Ideally suited for a couple with up to two children The Daylight Loft has lots of open space and few walls.

Read in the library, or sink into the leather couch and watch a movie on the 50-inch plasma TV. Connect your laptop to the included broadband wireless Internet. If it is cold outside get toasty in front of a real flame gas open fireplace. After a long hard day have a soak in the Phillipe Starke inspired bath and watch TV. You will sleep well too in the luxury queen size bed. The white leather sofa converts to a very comfortable (yes really!) double bed. The space is air conditioned and heated too.

If you are hungry or in need of caffeine, go out to lunch or have Melbourne's best coffee in happening Carlisle Street, with its amazing variety of European deli's, bars and caf's. It's at the door and not expensive.

Hop on a tram or walk to St Kilda beach and Luna Park. If you have a craving for sweets, Acland Street is very famous for it's continental cake shops. Want to go into the city? The train station and trams are two minutes walk away
