Byron Bay Bluesfest

The Byron Bay Bluesfest runs from the 1st of April to the 5th of April over the Easter long weekend. Now in its 21st year, the festival draws together some of the biggest musical acts in the world and attracts fans from all over Australia. Artists as diverse as Ben Harper, Bonnie Raitt, Keith Urban, John Fogerty and the John Butler Trio have all played  Bluesfest and 2010 promises to be another great year. Bluesfest 2010 will be held at the Tyagarah Tea Farm, situated just 10 minutes drive from Byron Bay.

Splendour in the Grass

Since its inception in 2001, Splendour in the Grass has evolved into a much-loved music and youth festival. Held every July at Byron Bay's Belongil Fields, Splendour promises some of the biggest acts in music, as well as showcasing local arts and crafts, creative performances and interesting sideshows. Previous headliners have included Coldplay, Sonic Youth, Powderfinger, Devo and PJ Harvey. Announcements of future lineups are keenly anticipated, with 2010 again promising big-name musical acts.

Byron Bay Writers Festival

The Byron Bay Writers Festival is held every August at Byron Bay's Belongil Fields. Attracting some of Australia's finest writers, journalists and satirists, the annual gathering of literary luminaries consists of a mixture of panel discussions, readings, debates, workshops and literary lunches and dinners. The 2010 Byron Bay Writers Festival will continue with more of the same and is a must for writers and readers alike.
