Walking trails criss-cross the reserve and offer visitors spectacular views of the coastline. Beaches at Alexandra Bay, Granite Bay and Dolphin Point are rarely crowded and offer surf breaks, fishing spots and sunbathing areas. Picnic and day-use areas are set in magnificent locations throughout the park and allow visitors to observe native wildlife and take in sweeping vistas of the coastline.
Sunshine Beach is a great base from which to explore Noosa and the Hastings Street area. Noosa Main Beach is one of the most attractive in the area and enjoys a rare north-facing position, directly behind Hastings Street. Long a popular destination for surfers who can enjoy the gentle break at the southern end of the beach, Noosa Main is also great for swimming, snorkelling, fishing and paddle boarding. A short walk takes visitors to
Little Cove Beach, which is another beautiful swimming spot and idyllic location for long and lazy days on the sand.
Hastings Street is Noosa's premier retail and dining precinct and is located directly opposite Noosa Main Beach. Home to fashion boutiques, jewellers, bookstores, surf shops and art galleries, the street is a must for retail enthusiasts and offers many hours worth of browsing pleasure. The strip is also highly-regarded for its restaurants, bistros and cafes, many of which are manned by some of Australia's leading chefs.
Sunshine Beach offers an excellent range of holiday rentals. Most properties are situated within walking distance of the beach and are also handy to Duke Street shops, cafes and restaurants. At the upper end of the market, there are some magnificent beach houses that enjoy a host of luxurious features and often, sweeping views over the water.
