History of Pearl Beach
Brisbane Water was the home of the coastal Guringai (Ku-ring-gai) people and the district was first settled in 1823. Originally a farming area, Pearl Beach was subdivided in 1928.

Pearl Parade is by the waterfront and has a reserve, a picnic area, tidal baths and children's playground. Brisbane Waters National Park conserves 12,000 hectares of sandstone landscapes rich in Aboriginal art and surrounds Pearl Beach. Crommelin Native Arboretum is a 4.5-hectare flora sanctuary with easy walking trails.
