History of Shoal Bay
Shoal Bay sits on the shores of Port Stephens near its entrance to the ocean and was first sighted by Captain Cook in 1770. The primary concern of these villages were servicing the fishing and boat building communities. The lack of industry allowed the area to remain largely unspoilt and towns like Shoal Bay now largely rely on tourism.
